Discover West Acres
Every week, we’re grateful to welcome new friends to West Acres! If that’s you and you’d like to learn more about who we are, we invite you to Discover West Acres, a three-week class where you’ll hear about our beliefs, our mission, and the importance of church membership. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get to know you and help you find your place in the life of our church.

WAY Movie Night
There is a West Acres Youth Movie Night happening on Sunday, February 22nd from 6:30–8:30 PM at Evans 14 Cinemas! Join the Youth for a fun night of fellowship. Students who bring a friend will be entered into a raffle for FREE popcorn and drinks, so don’t come alone! Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up here ahead of time to reserve your seat. Grab a friend, sign up, and get ready for a great night! We can’t wait to see you there!.
Sunday School
It’s a new year and if you are not actively involved in a Sunday School class this is a great time to start attending. West Acres is committed to making disciples and Sunday School is one of the ways we accomplish that goal. If you need help with finding a class, you can go to our next steps area after the service or you can contact the church office during the week.
DNow 2026
6th–12th grade students, sign-ups are now open for Disciple Now 2026! On March 13th and 14th we will be joining students from area churches for a powerful weekend of worship, teaching, and fellowship centered on this year’s theme, Soli Deo Gloria — Glory to God Alone. This intensive weekend will be a time for students to focus on God’s glory in every area of their lives and connect with students from around the CSRA. The cost to attend is $35, and the deadline to register is February 25th. Don’t miss this opportunity to be encouraged, challenged, and united around Christ. SIGN UP today!
Tuesday Night Prayer
Prayer is one of the most important ministries of the church, sadly it is often the most neglected. With that said, if you are available, come and join us on Tuesdays at 6 PM as we gather together to pray for our church, our community, and our world. Our men meet in the Sanctuary while our ladies meet in the Bride’s Room (W103). We are very excited to see you as we enter into the throne room of our Lord with prayers, petitions, and praises! If you have prayer requests please use the prayer wall on the West Acres website or the West Acres app. or if you would like more details please reach out to Jason Coley at [email protected].
March Missions Madness
Church family, during the month of March we’ll be placing a special emphasis on local missions with an initiative called March Missions Madness. Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting ways God is at work right here in our community and sharing opportunities for you and your family to serve. We’ll also be spending intentional time praying for local ministries and outreach efforts. More details will be coming in the days ahead, so be watching for how you can get involved.
Mission Trip Update
Have you considered the possibility of going on a mission trip this summer? There is still time and space to sign up for both the Guatemala or Alaska mission trips. For more information, please contact Pastor Alex.
Service Opportunities
Are you looking for a way to serve in the church? Our Hospitality Ministry is a wonderful place to start! We are seeking folks to serve as door greeters and on our parking team on Sunday mornings. If you would like more information, click here to complete a short form and let us know how you would like to serve, and we will follow up with more details.
West Acres Church App
In case you missed it, we launched the West Acres Church App a few months ago! If you haven’t already downloaded it, you can find it by searching “West Acres Baptist Church” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. One great feature for church members is access to our member picture directory. To upload your photo: (1) Tap the image in the top left corner of the screen, (2) Tap the pencil icon, then Edit Profile Photo, (3) and then choose a photo from your camera roll or take a new one. A few tips: the app crops a bit off the top and bottom of your photo, so leave a little space above your head. Square or horizontal photos tend to work better than vertical ones. If you’d prefer for the church office to upload your photo, just email a picture of yourself to [email protected]. Uploading your photo helps everyone put names with faces and get to know one another better!
